A large island for locals, a little gem for tourists
Whatever the point of view of locals and tourists, Nosy Be remains authentic with its animals and its endemic vegetation. Its volcanic lakes drain its dense forest. Amberiobe, such as indigenous call (which means "the big island"), is indeed a volcanic island with an area of 320 km². For tourists and foreign residents, the island is a little gem, a casket containing the natural resources in both inland and in its seabed.
Nosy Be is the starting point of the cruise ships that set sail for the west coast of Madagascar's territory, exploring the fishing villages. It also leaves the Nosy Be for a day or a few days to visit Nosy Komba, Nosy Tanikely, Sakatia Island ou Nosy Iranja.
