After completing the first stage of the largest sporting event ever organized and tourism in Madagascar, the 25 Lemur Trophy participants begin on Wednesday 02 November 2016, the route linking Morondava to Toliara.
Combining adventure and discovery, the Lemur Trophy gives pride of place to nature and the discovery of other cultures. Long-term trip, vehicles and stiffness are put to the test every day.
For the first stage which began on 28 October in the capital, the route took the competitors from Antananarivo to Malaibandy, for three days of trial on the slopes of the high plateaus. The crews will have done almost 300 kilometers through very difficult tracks. And for an adventure, this is one! Mechanical breakdown, dangerous tracks, sentiers rocheux… ont été au rendez-vous.
Since last Wednesday, after a day break in Morondava the day before, where participants discovered the tourist attractions of this coastal city in the southwest of Madagascar, the second stage of the Lemur Trophy is launched. The crews will travel for 5 days, Belo sur Mer, Manja, Morombe, Salary and Toliara. For the grand finale on Sunday 6 November, the adventure will unfold through the sublime landscapes of the Salary-Toliara circuit. A final sprint to admire the panoramas of the Vezo country.
Crossing the salt flats (sand and salt track), navigation difficile, a sprint of 80 km à travers les dunes de sable blanc de la baie des assassins…attendent les participants. More than a sporting raid, the Lemur Trophy is a fabulous expedition far from the usual tourist circuits, to discover the authentic beauty of the Big Island
Le Lemur Trophy, organized with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, embarked from 27 October, enthusiasts of two to four wheels (tels que les 4×4, buggys, motorbikes and quads) in an incredible adventure.
