Our stay lasted more than a month. The first part was spent on the coast. When we decided to explore the hinterland, we opted for the Great South region, Highlands being unavoidable. Our main focus was the N7.
Le Vez'tival of Toliara
It was a busy weekend. When Vez'tival, Toliara is a lively festive atmosphere. In the program : les capoeira, racing rickshaws and canoes, without forgetting the various events and parties.
A word about the National 7
This pin connects Toliara Antananarivo. Tourists from the capital to borrow to go to the South, but to return to Tana, they often opt for air transport. Therefore, many 4 drivers×4 that transported traveler to Tuléar return empty to Tananarive. So, an advice : after visiting the Great South, if you want to join Tana, try your luck : rent one of these private cars, Negotiate the price ! This is what we, we have done. More, with this type of vehicle, we were able to customize our trip. We chose to stop at Relais de la Reine.
The Relais de la Reine
In the desert is a place of healing : The Relais de la Reine. This is a hotel nestled in a canyon surrounding the Parc National de l'Isalo. The architecture of the building, any stone, blends with nature. In the middle of a beautiful garden is a swimming pool fitted. The meals are offered from fruit and vegetables from the garden.
Gorgeous views, curious. It suggests the Isalo. It is enough to want to take a walk on the ridges. We assuaged our thirst for hiking. We carried on horseback through the good services of our host and the Jardin du Roy.
