On the occasion of the World Tourism Day 27 September, the Embassy of the United States to Madagascar, Madagascar USAID and the Ministry of Tourism are organizing a photography competition with the theme “the beauty of nature in Madagascar”, with the key to various lots and participation in an exhibition.
The contest intends to highlight the work and passion of many amateur and professional photographers, sometimes overlooked. Each participant must submit some of his best photographs illustrating the uniqueness of the various wonders of nature in Madagascar. They will be judged by the jury according to the messages they convey.
The ten selected photos after the selection will then be printed on postcards, and distributed to foreign tourists, to raise awareness about the importance of the conservation of wildlife in the Great Island. And always with a view to enhancing local biodiversity, the winning photographs will be exhibited at the American Center of Tanjombato where thousands of people will discover the free.
How to participate?
This contest is open to everyone. To participate, just send a digital photo of high quality (2MB and more, at least 1024 pixels - in length or breadth - or approximately 300 pixels per inch (ppi) to info.madagascar@usaid.gov, with your full name, your phone number and a description of the image (where and when it was taken, the type of equipment used and any other details you'd like to share).
Each participant may submit up to ten images. Only the first ten photos will be considered for anyone submit more than ten photographs. The image must be your creation and convey the theme of "Natural Beauty Madagascar. "The subject must be photographed in Madagascar and the photo must not contain watermarks, data, logos or other brand (photos will be credited to the photographer when using).
Only digital photos in high quality JPG or JPEG format will be accepted. The printed photos will be rejected.
Entries will be accepted between 27 September and 16 October 2017
