Want wilderness escape ? Hike to Mandraka on Highway 2, not far from the capital, Antananarivo, and discover this tourist site, nestled in a natural environment of great beauty.
The Mandraka educational and ecotourism site is located at 65 km east of downtown Antananarivo. Inaugurated in 2013, this site contains a biodiversity characteristic of relict mountain forests. He houses, on the one hand a natural forest, and on the other hand an artificial forest. Visitors can admire the lemurs that are closest to Antananarivo, in their natural area.
With the summer beginning, the Regional Tourist Office of Analamanga offers you to go hiking to discover the flora and fauna of this tourist site, the Saturday 08 October 2016. The hike will take approximately two hours, for a distance of 3,15 km. The departure is scheduled at 06:30 in Antaninarenina, with a short stop in Ambanitsena. The visit of the eco-tourist site begins around 9:30, upon arrival at the scene. Return is expected at 14 hours, after lunch break at noon.
