The Festival of Whales in Sainte Marie

When these giant fish migrate around Sainte Marie island or Nosy Boraha, they are the subject of a festival. Every year, the saint-Marienne population, supported by CETAMADA Association and the Tourism Office, celebrated their arrival. En 2018, the Whale Festival is in its third edition. It will take place in July and will last more than a week, more precisely, between the 7 and the 15 of the month. In the program : shows et spectacles, sporting events and games. The event has become an opportunity for meetings between local and foreign tourists. These marine mammals are now an important part of Malagasy culture.

Whale watching : a new experience
